Dusty Gender: Male In his home Dusty has been the perfect gentleman. There have been no accidents in the house, he uses the doggie door, defers to all the girls, he loves to run around and play. He would be great in a house with only one or 2 other dogs (or maybe on his own), otherwise he tends to get lost in the shuffle. On the other hand, he gets totally crazy when small furry or feathered critters are around. Health issues of his owners forced his surrender and placement for re-adoption after 4 years. Pete Gender: Male Pete broke a tarsal bone, ending his fledgling career. He is still a bit of a puppy and trying to find his place among all the greys in my home. He is quickly becoming attached and is generally well behaved. Pete LOVES children, the only time we see him smile is when he is being adored by children. He doesn't really understand his size so he should be monitored around smaller children. He screams at the cats outside the windows so I don't think he'll be living with any. Sue Gender: Female Sue is a friendly, social Grey. Happy to be around people and other dogs, she'll make every guest to your home feel welcome with her greeting. Content to be in the same room with you, she'll follow you as your wanderings take you from the living room to the bedroom to the yard. Medium energy level, Sue is eager to accompany you on trips and outings, and relax with you at the end of the day. Enjoy her playful demeanor as she plays with you, or enjoy watching her toss her toys around to entertain herself. Sue would make a friendly, sweet, loving addition to your home. Ami Gender: Male Amtrak (Ami) is a most happy, incredibly affection consummate gentleman! He answers when you call him, is very good about the doggie door and greets you when you come home. He loves his people and gets along with the other hounds. He is very curious and wants to be doing whatever you are. He is also doing quite well with the small hounds in our pack but may not do well with any small dogs that might challenge him. His only flaw is that he prefers cats as an appetizer. Ami will be a wonderful companion or addition to any home. Racing data for FS Amtrak |

Bradley Gender: Male Bradley is a beautiful and affectionate gentleman. He settled right in and gets along with the resident greyhound and 3 cats. He is a little afraid of one of the cats but mostly ignores the others (after his initial curiosity was satisfied). Bradley will follow you around the house and greets you with a wagging tail and a few kisses on your hand. He is very good on leash and gets very excited about his daily walk. Bradley also enjoys emptying the toy bin and entertains himself with whatever he can find (toys, remote controls, etc). He is a little messy around the water bowl but cleans up all the food crumbs. Quietly charming with a little mischievous streak – that’s Bradley! Racing data for AHK Lewisbradley |

Doby Gender: Male He is a very handsome fawn boy with lots of eye makeup and wonderful golden brown eyes. He walks well on a leash and likes walks. He is getting along well with my large pack of mixed size dogs. He is mastering the "scary tile floors" and has gone out the dog door...we are working on coming back in though. I am sure he will master this fast. He has the most wonderful happy dance when I get home. I am sure he will make a fantastic family member. Racing data for KC Doby Springs |

Larry Color: Brindle Hubris Boy aka Larry. 30 races, 3 times in first. This big brindled boy sampled the pool water alongside Faye, and then taking no heed to her warning jumped right in…and promptly flailed about realizing with horror the mistake he made. What a sweet boy! He loves the stuffie toys and being affectionate. We haven't worked on the dog door but he has not had an accident in the house. He knows the meaning of "no". Kaz Color: Black This sweet, gentle, beautiful girl is Kaz. After spending her life racing
at the track, she is loving her new comfy life of a home and family. Each
new thing is interesting to her...from the mirror, to sounds on the TV and She has a very sweet personality with every person she meets and loves lots of petting. She also loves to follow you around the house checking out what you may be doing next. Kaz is housetrained, doesn't jump on the bed or couches, is very quiet and is good in the house. Her nose goes crazy when people food is around, but she is learning that it is not hers. Kaz does not interact much with the other dogs in the house and for the most part, just ignores them. She has found that dog beds are super comfy and appreciates one in each room! Kaz is a super girl that will truly melt you with her warm brown eyes and race into your heart! She is looking for a loving family to call her own! Racing data for RDs Liz Kaz |

Blade Color: -- Not the vampire killer, but I think he’s more of “freshman frat boy” in the fact that he’s intimidated by the larger Alpha dog (me), and won’t quit trying to get with the ladies (Faye and Sue). He keeps squeezing into the little space between my chair and the wall while I’m on the computer, it’s funny. I also think the coloring on his face is very German Shepherd like, it’s very dark. He took a dip in the pool too… much the same as Hubris Boy did… except he did it smoothly… using the stairs he slid right into the water, almost like it was planned. Little to no splashing, he did a quick circle then came back to the stairs. I think he actually enjoyed it. Racing data for RDs Blade |

Freeze Gender: Male He is very handsome and rather tall, white with large black spots. He is very friendly and very forward and makes sure he gets attention. He has figured out the dog door on the second day here (smart boy). He is friendly with all of my pack of dogs, some as small as 12 lbs. He does pull a bit on the walk, but this is coming around well. He also had a career ending right rear hock injury that is well healed and the injury bothers him little. Vonnie Color: Black This bold black beauty ran 136 races, with 18 first place wins and 13 second place wins. She’s quick and clever, not falling into the pool, and able to catch herself first, so only her front paws slid in. I have two, very significant finds about Vonnie. First off, she’s the softest, most velvety Greyhound I’ve ever touched. In fact, as soon as I laid a hand on her, this immediately came to mind. Secondly, she’s more chatty than Faye is. She’s reluctant to leave the office, so she just sticks her head out the door and roo’s and barks at me, or in this clip, I had just gotten out of the shower myself. Racing data for Kiowa Voneisha |

Pam Color: White and Black Bohemian Pam had 25 races with 5 first place wins. She’s a Gable Dodge pup. She’s smaller, a bit more compact, and definitely a strong dog. She’s pretty solid too, because when she fell into the pool, I think she sank all the way to the bottom before coming back up (right in the middle…so between 4-4.5 feet). Fortunately I could see her moving, so I wasn’t worried about needing to jump in, and she broke the surface moments later. Non-plussed, she swam in the direction I called her, and pulled herself out. More interested in the comings and goings of the house, she joins in as I walk around the house with the others, but fine with being on her own, and currently the only dog not sleeping in the office with me and the others.
